  17. <p>    Is there no end to the dark doings of Jose Antonio Zorrilla
  18. Perez? Last month the former head of the powerful Federal
  19. Security Directorate was arrested in Mexico as a suspect in the
  20. 1984 assassination of journalist Manuel Buendia. Now a U.S.
  21. grand jury is investigating allegations that Zorrilla was also
  22. involved in the death of U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration
  23. agent Enrique Camarena Salazar in 1985. According to DEA
  24. informants, Zorrilla knew in advance of Camarena's kidnaping.
  25. One source added that Camarena's interrogator was in direct
  26. contact with Zorrilla. If proved, the allegations would support
  27. the theory that Camarena's murder was approved at the highest
  28. levels of the government.
